Your jobs
Open a room survey or start a new one.
Start here · capture and check dimensions
- Keep the phone and laser rigidly mounted. Use the same browser and Rooms address where your jobs are saved.
- Open a room, then Shoot. Connect the laser, turn on Camera, and check that orientation responds as you turn the mount.
- Before the first reading at a station, press Set zero. Under Job → Setup, enter the height of the laser's measurement reference above the floor. Match the laser's front/back reference to your rig; check it against a known distance.
- Shoot at least three spread-out points on one wall, then Next wall. Work around the room in order. Do not move the tripod between wall shots.
- Measure floor and ceiling points. For a door or window, choose Opening, select its wall and shoot every corner. For electrical/plumbing, choose Detail, select its wall and shoot the centre; shoot corners only when you need a size.
- Moved the tripod or need a new zero? Start a new station and align it by remeasuring two well-separated, previously saved points.
- Check Drawing and Sheets. Dimensions are in millimetres on sheets. START marks the left end of each elevation; AFF means height above the floor reference. Swipe a sheet sideways to inspect its dimensions.
- Export → Room survey PDF or CAD DXF. Back up all jobs + photos from Jobs. Do not clear browser data to refresh.
Before relying on a room: compare several wall widths, a diagonal and an opening against independent measurements, then repeat a saved point. Phone angle error can affect the drawing even when the laser distance is accurate.
